# scaffolder-backend-module-sentry

Welcome to the Sentry Module for Scaffolder.

Here you can find all Sentry related features to improve your scaffolder:

- Create a Sentry Project
- Fetch the DSN for an existing Sentry Project

## Getting started

You need to configure the action in your backend:

## From your Backstage root directory

```bash
# From your Backstage root directory
yarn --cwd packages/backend add @backstage/plugin-scaffolder-backend-module-sentry
```

Then ensure that both the scaffolder and this module are added to your backend:

```typescript
// In packages/backend/src/index.ts
const backend = createBackend();
// ...
backend.add(import('@backstage/plugin-scaffolder-backend'));
backend.add(import('@backstage/plugin-scaffolder-backend-module-sentry'));
```

You need to define your Sentry API Token in your `app-config.yaml`:

```yaml
scaffolder:
  sentry:
    token: ${SENTRY_TOKEN}
```

You can optionally override the default Sentry API Base URL (`https://sentry.io/api/0`) in your `app-config.yaml`:

```yaml
scaffolder:
  sentry:
    apiBaseUrl: API-BASE-URL
```

After that you can use the action in your template:
